I love December for hot drinks, sitting by the fire, friends & family gatherings and celebrating the birth of Jesus! This year we’ll be staying down in Tucson, AZ for Christmas. My mom will be coming down to join us and our kids/grand who live here now.

We usually decide at the last minute what we’re doing for Christmas dinner. Sometimes we do Mexican food, sometimes more traditional. Just depends on how we all feel.

As far as traditions go… we're kind of terrible at them if I’m honest. We will do things for a few years and then we decide to mix it up and do something different. But one tradition that we (my mom, my girls & I) have actually done almost every year for a long time, is make handmade ornaments and exchange them.

Handmade Christmas Ornaments

I’m not sure the girls will be up to it this year as they are in the trenches raising the kiddos, but I’ll be making ornaments for the grands at least. Here’s a few examples of what I’ve made in year’s past. I have no idea what I’ll be doing for this year’s ornament. Or even what material it will be made of. I guess I better get a move on, Christmas will be here before we know it! Hope you’re enjoying the season. Big hugs to you.

Be Kind & Smile Often.

Xoxo,
