If you've been following along this year, you know birds kind of took over my life. First it was twenty days of painting them for my #100DayProject… then we got chickens 🐓. I'm starting to see a pattern here 😂.

When I finally saw all twenty together, some felt like little glimpses of where I'm headed, and others felt like stepping stones that got me there. But what surprised me most was how different they all turned out. Some are fancy, some are goofy, and some look like they have opinions about everything 😂. Every bird really does have its own personality… and that's what makes picking one for someone so fun. There's no "right" bird, just the one that feels like them.

For the classic bird lover, I'd go with Sweet Nectar. It's our new wood format, and I'm SO excited about it. The hummingbird comes right off my painting and onto the clock in layers of wood, so it feels like the art is popping off the page 🥹. The same hummingbird painting is on available on a compact mirror and pill box too, if you want a little something small to stick in their stocking instead.

For your friend who's never met a shade of pink she didn't love, meet Pinky🦩. She has hand-painted flower clock hands, and her little feet are the pendulum! (Fun fact: flamingos start out with white fluffy feathers and turn pink from what they eat. Who knew?!) She also inspired Fifi the Flamingo, one of our new Roamies plush.

For the one who can spend hours in an antique shop, there's Fly Bird. It's a little birdhouse with a vintage-style clock face… and the bird peeking out the window swings right along with the pendulum. It's one of those details that makes me smile every time and the textures are just SO fun.

And for the farm lover… Rudy the Rooster. He feels a little personal this year😅. Our chickens are getting big, and we ended up giving away two roosters because they would NOT stop crowing (I'm sure the neighbors loved that 😬). Rudy is a backpack clip, so he's the perfect size to tuck into a stocking.

A little crafty tip: make them a nest 🪺

Our clocks come in a brown kraft box with a styrofoam insert, so before you wrap it up, swap that insert for a brown paper grocery bag shredded into thin strips. Scrunch them up and nestle the clock right in the middle. Giving a plush, compact, or pill box instead? Tuck it into a gift bag with a big handful of that same shredded paper. It's free, it takes about five minutes, and there's something so sweet about finding a treasure tucked in like it just hatched.

Happy nesting, my friends 🤍

xoxo- Michelle 😘
