So I decided to join a group of creatives doing a 100 day challenge. The challenge is open to anyone and it can involve anything you want it to be. It could be a build up of little things to create one large thing or it can be one thing, or one type of thing, exercise, medium, discipline, etc. for 100 days. It’s obviously YOUR challenge and you get to decide.

For my challenge I opted for a sketchbook practice. A page a day in my sketchbook is my only parameter. I can work in whatever medium I choose and it can be any subject I want. I felt I needed to keep it as undaunting and easy as I could if I was going to even come close to getting 100 days in.

Here are a few of my pages so far. Right now, I’m working primarily in gouache (the acrylic kind) in my handmade sketchbook.

Loving the colors in these two spreads. Could easily see these being used in products, couldn’t you?!

Cat Sketchbook

I obviously have an affinity for cats. Haha! They are probably my favorite creature to draw or paint.

So far, the project is going well. I’m already a few days behind… but I’m okay with that. I don’t expect to get all 100 in. Even if I got 50 in, I would consider it a WIN!

I’ll report back and let you know how it’s going.
