The other day, my friend Mary and I carved out a few slow hours to visit the Tucson Botanical Garden—and it was just what my creative soul needed. We wandered the paths, admired all the blooming beauty, and eventually found the perfect little bench tucked in the shade.
With sketchbooks in hand and no pressure to make anything “perfect,” we spent the afternoon sketching, chatting, and soaking up the peacefulness around us. There’s something so grounding about drawing from life, especially in a space that feels alive in every sense of the word.
I left feeling refreshed, inspired, and reminded how good it is to pause, notice, and create just for the joy of it. Definitely hoping for more sketch sessions like this one!
