we’ve been busy around here-
busy scheming what our 2013 adventures will be.
i think this is going to be a big year for allen designs/close2myart as well as for myself.
lots of exciting things brewing!
and art is a very big part of it.
yay for me!
how about you, do you take time to list out your goals & dreams?
i’ve had times when i don’t and, honestly i can tell a difference in how i live each day.
received this beautiful gift from my sweet friend Janne and i just LOVE it!
isn’t she so talented,
books i’m still reading…
and will probably be reading till my next trip to China!
some things just don’t make the priority list unfortunately.
hello & happy saturday!
i’m super jazzed to be home from the gift shows and back to a schedule.
it’s to no one in our studio’s surprise that,
our most popular new allen designs clock this winter show season has been the westie dog.
we added a few other lovely dog items we’ve found around the web for a little ‘doggie collage’.

4 West Highland Terrier Print from local Illustrator | 5 Healthy Dog Biscuits Recipe | 6 Westie Photo by Bonnie Tsang
i’m seriously loving letters these days!
is anyone else having this obsession?
check out lisa congdon’s excellent blog post today on “making use of studio time“.
from decorating inspiration to yummy healthy eating ideas, pinterest seems to have it all!
the challenge is- not just spending all that time perusing the beautiful pics, but actually putting ideas into ACTION.
this week, i’m promising myself to either make this beet sandwich or delicious looking salad.

Colorful Crocheting | Luscious Green Salad | Turquoise T

i think this elephant clock is my absolute fave.

and billy bear!

happy new year to you!
we spent our holidays up at mt. hood and were blessed with tons of fresh snow!
it was awesome!
these were my pieces of art i made for my family exchange and also an exchange i do with a group of other artists.
i’m thinking i might do more of these they were so much fun.
well, i’m off to georgia tomorrow for the atlanta gift show.
not my favorite thing to do.
i’m totally a home-body.
but necessary in my line of work.
the upside… i get to see awesome friends like these- april, leigh & kelly rae!
