  3. I adore your work and I’ve shared your give away on FB. Alas, I don’t have a blog or I would share it there too!!!
My mantra is: Bloom where you are planted!

  4. 2 of my favorites from my pastor & his wife

‘Put on your big girl panties and DEAL WITH IT!’

Love your clocks….I have about 30 of them all over my house!

  5. Oooooh I love to hear you’re having a giveaway. I love all your stuff, but can’t seem to make up my mind which is my fave!! Winning would help me do that, just so you know. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Sharing this amazing event with my peeps on Facebook and my blog

My go to saying is from SNL’s Stuart Smalley “I’m good enough, I’m smart enough, and, doggone it, people like me.” It’s silly and makes me laugh when I’m feeling not good enough, so it lifts my spirits.

  6. My favorite quote…which I recently had tattooed on my arm so I can see it every French by Albert Camus…
” Au milieu de l’hiver j’ai decouvert en moi un invicible ete.”
“in the middle of winter I found in me an invincible summer”

I love everything you create Michelle!!

  7. I adore your work! ๐Ÿ˜€ One of my mini mantras is “Tomorrow is another day, push on. There’s always a chance for tomorrow to be better and brighter…”

  8. Well, so many good quotes come to mind, a few faves…..

    You snooze, you lose.
The more you give, the more you get or what goes around, comes around.
Dogs don’t make our whole lives, but they make our lives whole. (Gads, when you told me about the dogs in China, I nearly lost my lunch)
    It is what it is.

I wish I could visit your sale….maybe another time, it would require some planning oh, & of course some money! LOL! xo : )

  9. I love quotes and inspirational sayings!! However, the best thing anyone has ever said to me is “you can do it”. Someone I loved believed in me and they were right! I can do it!!!

  10. “Don’t you worry child, heaven’s got a plan for you” I love that quote! Specially on exchange, everyday something bizzare unknown happens and remembering the quote, gives me security.
Also, I posted this on my blog of exchange! ๐Ÿ™‚
    Thanks ๐Ÿ˜›

  11. Actually, today when leaving the gym I heard something that touched me to the core….

“More people are coming to the party. The fitness party. I noticed the dedicated ones are always here early in the morning. True, right?”

It just made getting up so early feel so better!

  12. My favorite go to quote is by Ralph Waldo Emerson-“What lies behind us and what lies in front of us are but tiny matters as compared to what lies within us.” I LOVE IT!

  13. Love your art! Have purchased awesome, cool gifts.

“Keep your feet on the ground, but let your heart soar as high as it will”.

Shared on Facebook and will share thru my daughter’s blog!

  14. Oh my gosh – I have so many go sayings to get me through the day, but if I had to choose I would have to say the serenity pray is at the top of the list.
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change,
The courage to change the things I can,
And the wisdom to know the difference.
Thank you Michelle for the fun opportunity to win some of your fabulous work!

  15. I love Mary Oliver’s quote, “Tell me, what will you do with your one wild and precious life?”. It reminds me to let go of the daily nonsense and focus on what really matters…recognizing the possibilities in each and every day and being the best expression of me that i can be. It reminds me to lighten up and to laugh, kind of like your art :).

  16. Epic, as in Be Epic, Do Epic Sh*t, That’s epic, an epic job on a spelling test…. Epic is my favorite word. (It’s from World of Warcraft, and I’ve been saying it since 2006.)

  17. When having a bit of a tough run…

    Today is a New Day.

I say it in the mornings when I wake and it offers up the opportunity of change and things being different (in a good way)for the day…a fresh start!

  18. I love your stuff, I’m a huge fan!! One of my favorite most loved sayings/quotes is: “The ordinary arts we practice everyday at home are of more importance to the soul than their simplicity might suggest.”

Happy Holiday Season (can you believe it’s here already?)and take care!

  19. So, I’ve got one of each…my “go to” phrase is “it’s all good”, because most of the time…it is. ๐Ÿ™‚
The one thing someone told me that really impacted my life is that I am not responsible for how someone reacts to something. It really made a big difference in how I look at things.

  20. I have spread my dreams beneath your feet. Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.
    W.B. Yeats

Good luck with the studio sale Michelle!

  21. I just adore quotes. I have them pretty much everywhere. I collect them, if we could say so.
One of my favorite, that really resonates with me is from Clarissa Pinkola: ยซTears are a river that take you somewhere, somewhere better.ยป

  22. One of my favorite quotes from Eleanor Roosevelt “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent”.
This says to me that our true power and strength comes from within. It is for us to decide whether to give that power to someone else. I simply love your art. I have 3 of your wall clocks and have given many as gifts. Your artwork makes me smile.

  23. ‘Use the talent you possess: for the woods would be very silent if no birds sang except those that sang best” Author Unknown

Hi Michelle, thought I’d let you know that a gift shop here where I live in Horsham, Victoria, Australia stock a few of your quirky clocks. They look so brilliant in person. I couldn’t believe it when I saw them. =D

    Kyles =D

  24. All shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well…-st julian

  25. One of my favorite quotes:
May God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
    –Reinhold Niebuhr

but just today I was listening to ‘wheat belly’ the book and there was an even better saying:
Bread is my crack!!! I love it! its so true. I love bread and all things similar (cereals and pastas).
Hope I win!!!!! I love Michelle Allen Clocks and designs. I wish I could visit the studio.

  26. “If the people let government decide what foods they eat and what
medicines they take, their bodies will soon be in as sorry a state as are the souls of those who live under tyranny.” – Thomas Jefferson

I say: HELL NO TO GMO!

    Love your happy art!

  27. My mom taught me “do unto others as you would have them do unto you” when I was very young and I’ve tried to follow it throughout my life. It has served me very well. I love your clocks!

  28. Ooo!! Giveaway – I could go nuts with all the lovelies I’d get! Here is my go to quote, given to me by my husband during a melt down I was having recently:

“The work you put in equates to what the Universe sees.”

Totally changed my perception on things. It’s my new mantra, and has made me even more focused and determined.

  29. Everyone tells me my favorite quote sucks. I don’t remember where I first heard it, but it’s stuck with me for as long as I can remember.
    “Nothing Gold Can Stay”
I absolutely love it. Whenever I say it, people respond with “Oh, you mean like, Stay Gold.” And as much as I like that too, I like Nothing Gold Can Stay better. I’m actually getting it tattooed next month as a memorial tattoo for a miscarriage I had recently.

  30. It is what it is. I say it at work all the time as it gets crazy and people are apologizing because it is their time to leave.. And I am sharing on my FB page.

  31. My Quote:
‘Always be true to yourself. Encourage others in their creativity as you never know when that perfect word in the perfect moment at the perfect time may awaken that creative ‘muse’ that lies deep down inside of everyone of us.’

  32. Hello!
    One of my favorites is:
“Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.”

  33. I love Dr. Seuss!
“Be who you are and say what you feel , because those who matter font mind and those who mind don’t matter.”

  34. Pay it forward! Time, money, a hug, a good belly laugh,a smile, a random act of kindness. Something so little can be so big! And it feels so goog!!!

  36. It’s about love.
    It’s about compassion.
    It’s about kindness
    and faith.
    It has nothing to do
    with luck.
    You get what you give,
    so give good.

  37. The quote that I just love is:
“Just living is not enough,” said the butterfly. “One must have sunshine, freedom and a little flower.”
    -Hans Christian Anderson-
Wish I could have been at the sale, maybe next year! I will post this on Twitter!

  38. “Comparison is the thief of joy.” –great quote after spending an evening perusing Pinterest! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Thanks for the chance to win your giveaway!

  39. My go to phrase in my attempt to let the kids know about bullying:

I’m beautiful in my own way because God makes no mistakes

  40. My favorite quote of all time: “However long the night, the dawn will break.” It’s an African proverb that has guided me through many a rough patch. Thank you for the opportunity to play along in this giveaway…keeping everything crossed!

  41. My daughter sent me a card on which she wrote “You inspire me!” It sure made my day and every day since. Your works are wonderful! Thank you for offering a giveaway.

  42. “When you do the common things in life in an uncommon way, you will command the attention of the world.” – George Washington Carver

It’s not super inspirational, but this quote has always captured my thinking. I even had it framed in my office for a while! It inspires me to think differently, add whimsy to the everyday, and get out of the rut. Much like your art. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  43. โ€I havenโ€™t failed. Iโ€™ve just found 10,000 ways that wonโ€™t work.โ€ – Thomas Edison

    Love your giveaways!!!!!

I shared on my FB but sadly I do not have a blog…. I’m thinking about starting one just so I have a way to have more chances to win your wonderful art!

  44. The saying that is near and dear to my heart is…”Listen for the whisper of your intuition.” My sister gave me a card with this saying on it when I left corporate life to have my first child. I was scared like crazy. Sis always knew what to say to encourage me. She was my biggest supporter, my best friend, my mentor.

  45. Ok, I’ll play! ๐Ÿ™‚ I haven’t been here in quite a while! How have you been?
Here are three of my favorite quotes.. “Let what you love be what you do” – anonymous.
If you can accomplish all your goals in your lifetime – you’re not thinking big enough – Steve Ells (I actually might have see that on your site a year or three ago?)
And last but not least, I saw this on a mommy daily calendar about 15 years ago, and it has stuck with me… “My house is clean enough to be healthy, and messy enough to be happy!” – it really helped me get over the “everything has to be perfect” place in my life! LOL Now I think my house is delirious! ๐Ÿ˜€

  46. There will always be someone who has more than you… and there will always be someone less fortunate…. it puts things into perspective.

  47. Much of my professional career was spent connected to politics, something I retired from several years ago. But I remember that the Speaker of the House of Representatives told me one day to always remember to “Assume Nothing.” Which is true especially when dealing with people who always want something. It’s like if you expect nothing, you will never be disappointed. I donot really miss some of the individuals with which I was forced to deal during those days.

  48. A life spent making mistakes is not only more honorable, but more useful than a life spent doing nothing.
    George Bernard Shaw

I know I will mess up sometimes, but never trying would be worse.
